Description

Photograph of a group of people with the first T&P tank car of oil shipped from Toyah, Texas. Men and women stand beside the tank car and on top of it. A sign hangs from the side of the car reading, "First Car of Oil from Reeves County - Produced from Richard Shaw-Anthony no. 1." A building and electrical pole can be seen in the background on either side. Faint text in the upper left corner of the photo says, "Toyah, Texas 1927." Handwritten text below the image says, "T&P tank car with first car of oil shipped from Toyah Texas in 1927."
