Description

Copy photo of a group photo in front of T&P train #148. The image on the text says "This photograph of Texas and Pacific switch engine No. 148 was taken in Texarkana in August 1896 and was the first T&P engine in Texarkana equipped with air brakes. Those appearing in the picture, beginning at the front end of the engine, as follows: C. W. Kipple, Foreman, Frank Sountag, Switchman, William Kelley, Switchman, Frank Cromwell, Engineer, William McClain, Switchman, Frank Young, Fireman, Jim Jackson, Porter." Underneath the image is written "Southwest Collection."
