Description

Each clipping is captioned, and they read (left to right, top to bottom respectively) "Bill Purdie contemplates derailed pony truck.," "Making time at Fairfax.," "Hammering hard beneath a through truss span.," "Service Stop for water in Manassas.," and "Departing Charlotesville on southbound run." Written in the top left of the page is "Piedmont Limited/610 - Alexandria to Monroe Va & return train left Alexandria at 9:25 am instead of scheduled 8:00 am and returned at 3:21 am vs timetables 7:00 pm." Beneath the clippings are written "All Photos by J. J. Young Jr Aug 20th 1977" and "-Trains Feb. 1978 pg 35, 36, 37."
