Description
5 clippings of the Piedmont Limited, train #610 on a trip from Alexandria to Monroe, Virginia. Each clipping is captioned, and they read (left to right, top to bottom respectively) "Bill Purdie contemplates derailed pony truck.," "Making time at Fairfax.," "Hammering hard beneath a through truss span.," "Service Stop for water in Manassas.," and "Departing Charlotesville on southbound run." Written in the top left of the page is "Piedmont Limited/610 - Alexandria to Monroe Va & return train left Alexandria at 9:25 am instead of scheduled 8:00 am and returned at 3:21 am vs timetables 7:00 pm." Beneath the clippings are written "All Photos by J. J. Young Jr Aug 20th 1977" and "-Trains Feb. 1978 pg 35, 36, 37."
