This weekend at the North Texas Book & Paper Show in Grapevine TX, I saw an old advertisement for a special train from Palestine to Dallas. The route was Palestine-Jacksonville-Tyler-Lindale-Mineola-Dallas via the I&GN and T&P. Passengers arrived directly at the fairgrounds. The special left Palestine at 4:00 AM and arrived at the State Fair at 7:55 AM. The return trip left at 7:00 PM.
The date on the ad was October 15, but no year was given. The ad was for the Missouri Pacific.
